2. NARRATIVE AND WORLD DESIGN

Following the information structure set out in the Introduction, this section covers all the narrative content that unfolds in the game, textual and non-textual alike. It starts from a macroscopic view of the fictional universe in "The World of NomadLand". It then goes deeper into the playable characters' plots in "The Three Playable Characters", where the whole narrative development is described and the ludic structure that supports it is laid out, along with the corresponding genre analysis. Finally, the section "The Son of the Rivers" reaches the maximum level of textual detail. It builds the unfolding of one of the game's characters scene by scene, and anticipates the mechanisms that will allow its exploration, along with the strategic decisions the player has to make to get there.

2.A - THE WORLD OF NOMADLAND

The parts that follow describe all of NomadLand's worldbuilding background, starting from the largest and most abstract concepts that give its worldview meaning, and ending with the individuals who concentrate power in the political dynamics of the narrative present. Everything described here works as the cornerstone of the narrative and mechanical development covered in the sections that follow. So knowing it is essential in order to trace the connection and understand what the design decisions mean.
